Once again, Victor Davis Hanson has written an article so excellent that it is hard to choose an excerpt. One choice paragraph: “In World War II, an energy-independent United States bombed the oil fields controlled by the Third Reich to stop Adolf Hitler’s killing. Today a wartime but energy-hungry America is daily enriching our worst enemies.”
